The short version: Your photos never leave your device. photoexif.com processes all images entirely in your browser. We do not collect, upload, store, or have any access to your images or their metadata. We run no ads and no tracking of any kind. If you are reading a translated version of this policy, the English version shall govern in the event of any discrepancies.

1. Who We Are

photoexif.com is operated by Sociable Studio, a digital studio based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Image Data

We collect none. Images you load into this tool are processed entirely within your web browser using the JavaScript File API. No image data is ever transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or accessible to us or any third party at any time. The moment you close the browser tab, all image data is gone.

2.2 Usage Data

photoexif.com is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic, anonymised network-level data as part of serving the site — such as the country of the request and HTTP status codes — as part of its standard infrastructure operations. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not have access to any data that identifies you personally. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for full details.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party analytics, behavioural tracking, or session recording tools.

2.3 Cookies

photoexif.com does not set any cookies. We do not use first-party or third-party cookies for tracking, advertising, or any other purpose. No cookie consent banner is required because there are no cookies to consent to.

2.4 Contact and Email

If you contact us by email at info@photoexif.com, we will receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, share your email with third parties, or retain correspondence beyond what is necessary to resolve your query.

The only third-party service involved in operating this site is Cloudflare, which provides hosting and content delivery via Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare acts as our infrastructure provider and processes network requests in accordance with its own privacy policy. No image data, metadata, or user-identifiable information passes through Cloudflare — only the static HTML file that constitutes the tool itself.

We have no advertising partners, data brokers, or affiliate relationships that involve the sharing of user data.

5. Data Retention

Because we do not collect image data or personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Cloudflare retains infrastructure-level logs in accordance with its own data retention policies, which you can review at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Email correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to resolve the enquiry and is then deleted.

6. Your Rights

Since we collect no personal data and no image data, most privacy rights are satisfied by design — there is simply nothing we hold about you to access, correct, export, or delete. If you have emailed us and wish to have that correspondence deleted, contact us at info@photoexif.com and we will comply promptly.

7. International Users

photoexif.com is accessible worldwide. Because no personal data or image data is collected or transmitted, cross-border data transfer concerns do not apply to image processing. If you contact us by email from outside Canada, your email will be received and processed in Canada.

8. Children's Privacy

photoexif.com is a general-purpose utility tool not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, or under 16 where required by applicable law such as GDPR. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us at info@photoexif.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

Because image data is processed entirely in your browser and never transmitted to our servers, the primary attack surface for image data exposure does not exist. photoexif.com is served exclusively over HTTPS. The site is a single static HTML file with no server-side code, no database, and no login system — meaning there is no backend to compromise. We rely on Cloudflare's infrastructure for DDoS protection, TLS termination, and secure content delivery.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the law or how the site operates. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without prominent notice. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
